The fascinating world of bees
11 June - 12 September 2021
What would happen if there were no more bees? With the production of its own Alpina honey, The Alpina Gstaad introduces its youngest guests and accompanying adults to the secrets of the world of bees and our surrounding. In a 45-minute workshop, the guests can join our professional local beekeeper Stefan Neuhaus and learn more about the fascinating world of bees, the production of honey and what our Alpina “busy” bees need to create this sweet temptation. The workshops will be held on the hotel grounds, where the beehives are located. The hotel will provide beekeeper protective clothing, hats and gloves. In our Private Cinema, the workshop finishes with a screening of a 90-minute documentary highlighting the coexistence of bees and humans.
Costs per participant: CHF 80 inclusive of protective clothing and a pot of Alpina Honey (exclusively for hotel guests). Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Solid, closed shoes are recommended.
Workshop Dates: To be defined for Summer 2021. Subject to availability and only with prior reservation.
Registration: At least 48 hours in advance. In case of a cancellation, we inform guests 24 hours before the beginning of the workshop.
