Services included in the room price
The price of the room includes room-service breakfast or the breakfast buffet served in the hotel’s Sommet restaurant, wired and wireless internet access, parking in the covered car park, a free shuttle service between the hotel and Gstaad railway station, use of the Six Senses Spa, as well as all taxes, VAT and service charges.
Terms and conditions of reservation
The reservation contract is governed by the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations. A reservation shall be considered confirmed upon receipt of a deposit or a credit card guarantee. We reserve the right to charge acancellation fee to the credit card provided as guarantee.
We accept the following means of payment: American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Maestro, travellers’ cheques and cash. We do not accept personal cheques. Our bank account details are as follows:

The room will be available from 3 p.m. on the day of your arrival. We kindly ask you to vacate the room by 12 noon on the day of your departure.
You may cancel your reservation up to seven days before your arrival without charge. In the event of cancellation after this deadline or a no-show, we reserve the right to charge up to the full amount of the reservation, depending on the length of stay reserved.
Dogs are welcome in all the areas of the hotel except the restaurants and our Six Senses Spa. We charge CHF 40 per night per dog (excludes food). We reserve the right to charge for any damages caused by your pets.
In accordance with statutory provisions, The Alpina Gstaad is liable for all items that guests bring onto its premises. Liability for minor negligence is expressly excluded. If guests have reason to complain or are dissatisfied with the services of the hotel, they are required to inform the hotel immediately. If they do not, they forfeit their rights to claim any form of compensation.
Should the hotel fail to provide the agreed number of hotel rooms, it is liable to compensate the guest for any losses incurred, in so far as these can be demonstrated. Should the hotel be unable to provide the reserved rooms on the guest’s arrival, it will arrange equivalent alternative accommodation in another hotel and pay for all additional costs such as transport, accommodation, etc., over and above the original prices as contracted. In principle, all claims against the hotel become statute-barred six months after the guest’s departure, providing the mandatory statutory provisions do not specify longer periods.
Any amendments or additions to reservation confirmations are to be made in writing whenever possible. Unilateral amendments or additions are null and void. In signing reservation confirmations or in unilaterally confirming a booking, you accept the General Terms & Conditions.
This contract is subject exclusively to Swiss law. The canton of Bern in Switzerland shall be the sole place of jurisdiction for all disputes between the contractual parties.
We adhere to the following policies when handling personal or business information you share with us:
We collect general information like names, mailing addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers, along with more specific information from various sources. We do this for the purpose of rewarding credit and points for marketing programs as well as to inform you about special promotions that run throughout the year. We may enhance this information with data from outside sources to facilitate more relevant, targeted communications as well as develop products and services that better suit our customers' needs. We also collect information about the behavior of visitors to our Web site for overall analysis and more targeted communications.
We will use this information for The Alpina Gstaad business purposes only. We will not disclose or sell any customer's information to any external organizations. We may however, work with our partners and use this information to introduce you to, on behalf of The Alpina Gstaad, additional value-added services we feel may be of interest.
We may use mailing address information to send direct mail promotions to your home. We may also use e-mail addresses (when submitted to us by you) to mail you information about special offers or promotions.
All information, including credit card information that you provide to us over the Internet during the reservation process, is encrypted for your protection. This encryption is designed to help prevent any unauthorized person from intercepting or reading any application information you send us.
At any time, whether you receive e-mail or direct mail, you may ask us to discontinue use of the information you have provided and request that we refrain from sending any further communications.
You may call us at +41 33 888 98 88. Please give us your name and address and specify which promotion you received and how (i.e. mail or e-mail), and we will proceed to remove your name and address from all further communications.
When processing a reservation at The Alpina Gstaad or on our website www.thealpinagstaad.ch we will ask for the following:
• Credit/Debit Card number and expiration date
• Billing address
• Phone/fax number
• Email address
This information is necessary to process your reservation at The Alpina Gstaad.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.
